Today, on this rainy Saturday, I went to the Street Food Festival in Cologne. A variety of dishes from all around the world spiced up the atmosphere.
Today, on this rainy Saturday, I went to the Street Food Festival in Cologne. A variety of dishes from all around the world spiced up the atmosphere.
At 12 p.m. on this 28th of the month started the Street Food Festival in Cologne. For two days food lovers can try the specialties that the small food stalls from around the world produce. It is set partially out-side in a summer-like environment with sand and wood tables and partially inside with DJ music and inviting aromas. Too bad the rain ruined a bit the mood, but the people that live here are used to this kind of weather.
There were a multitude of dishes, main-courses, snacks, deserts and of course special drinks. After deliberating for a while we chose a french specialty with beef, toast and a great mustard sauce accompanied by some cider to complete the experience.
Some details that attracted the eye were the wooden spoons, the Inca Kola from Peru, the Thai chicken and of course the french macarons. The cooks were also out of the ordinary with special outfits or cool beards.
The festival will continue in Cologne on the 18th and 19th of April, so be sure not to miss it the next time.
