Hey there!
I've been having an internship for almost three months now at the company that manages the north part of the Eifel National Park. And in order to get there at 8 a.m. I have to wake up 5 times per week at 5 a.m. A lot of funky things happen at these early hours when most of the people are still sleeping. I'm going to tell you about some of them right here.

I've started my internship on the 6th of July, so in the middle of the summer. In the morning I had some nice light so I used this chance to read in the 2 trams and one train that I had to use. As in the honey-moon-phase I was thrilled by the sights and also managed to read a lot, the sun providing me with fresh energy. You can see some photos below.
Every morning the facts were happening like in a deja-vu and I found that really funny: at the tram station is always one other person besides me, at Rudolfplatz a guy with rollers gets off in his squared pants. He's being followed by a fluffy girl. At Barbarossaplatz, the light turn green just as the tram reaches the station. Cool, huh? At the Cologne South train station a blind man is being picked up by someone. Finally my train is always delayed and a man cleans the platforms at the same time.
But the days have gone shorter, the weather is worse and Ned Stark's saying becomes true: "Winter's coming!" The roller guy has long pants now and I'm a little tired. I've become a specialist at train-sleeping, but luckily in the tram I get to read a few pages. The sights were always the same so I started to notice new things:

a) the flying bike: while the pedestrian alley was being fixed, the owner had his bike hanged on a pole. They finished the works in the meantime and Germany's Dorel put it back with it's wheels on earth.
b) in a tram station a new fast-food has opened. It's called Pigbull. I have to try out their specialities.
c) one day, while waiting for my train I've noticed that it has TALENT. If they say so...
d) in a bank in front of the ATM a man left his boots, probably because he was unhappy with the services
e) and the funniest thing is the Christmas cookies special offer that you can find in the supermarkets. But it's only September...
In a week's time I will have finished my internship but I've already gathered some nice memories: 3 hiking trips, the peasant golf game and some E-bike rides. More about this in a future post.
Enjoy the nice days until then!
