Happy new year 2016! The year 2015 has reached its end. It's incredible how fast it went by and how many things happened. This time I'm not on the top of the mountain, but here in Cologne. From this city I am sending you my good thought for the new year. Like last year I leave you with this Ted Talk Video to bring you joy in the last days of this year. Good morning! Today we discuss and investigate the site of crime. Tatort (English - site of crime) is the oldest series in the German-speaking area which aired for the first time on the 29th of November 1970. Happy birthday!
On this evening, the 24th of September we celebrate one year of RC Kugelschreiber and I would like to thank you dear readers. I remember the emotion of the first post, of the high number of pre-publish reads and the joy I felt when I received congratulations and encouragements for the future. I didn't know if it has a future, if I could write more than 3 articles and if someone will read the stuff I write. But a year has passed and I'm still standing (yeah, yeah, yeah). Let's see in retrospective what happened around here in the last 365 days: - 48 posts - 114 returning visitors - readers from 3 continents ( that's what happens when friends are scattered around the globe) - Top 3 loved articles: The adventures of two brothers, Urlaub in der eigenen Heimat and The Capital on the Seine Hey there!
Today I will unravel the way you can become an expert in the sport called peasant's golf. You don't believe me? Read on and find out. Hi there boys and girls!
On this festive nights I will tell you about an Advent custom that I witnessed in my Erasmus experience in Austria: Krampus! :D Hey there!
I've been having an internship for almost three months now at the company that manages the north part of the Eifel National Park. And in order to get there at 8 a.m. I have to wake up 5 times per week at 5 a.m. A lot of funky things happen at these early hours when most of the people are still sleeping. I'm going to tell you about some of them right here. Hi there!
The Romanian adventure has come to an end and now I'm back in Germany. I've discovered and rediscovered wonderful places in my country, I met old friends and made new ones, I enjoyed speaking again in my own language and I chose to show to my nice German tourists my home country. This post comes as a summary of those 16 days of traveling and it's linked to older posts. Our journey started in Târgu Mureș, near the heart of Transylvania, we zig-zaged to Turda and Cluj-Napoca, then to Sovata and Sighișoara. Brașov war our next target alongside Prahova Valley with it's old castles and proud mountains. Sibiu came up next and the road to Bucharest took us on a lovely path through the mountains - the Transfăgărășan. The hot Bucharest offer us a lot of fun places to go and it was a contrast to what we've seen before. After this moment, our guest were already familiar with our country so they started a journey on their own to the Black Sea and then gazed at the wonders of the Danube Delta. Returning to Bucharest we headed west via airplane. Hello again!
After some stormy weeks in Cologne, a few days of calm and sunny weather came to visit us. And to take advantage of this, I set up a short trip to a big lake: Dhünntallsperre. |
